Considerate, devoted, and eager to assist in enhancing one’s health, Meghan Keysboe is an NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist. Having a mother that also practices acupuncture, Meghan is a legacy at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, the leading school in the United States for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Meghan has been certified in facial acupuncture, teaching Qigong- Thousand Hands Buddha technique, trained in NADA protocol from the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, and continues educational classes on various techniques of Acupuncture such as Five Element and other TCM based practices. She has advanced knowledge in Chinese Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, Dietary Supplementation, Qigong, Tuina, Cupping Therapy, Electro Stimulation, Moxibustion, Gua Sha and Therapeutic Massage, as well as a focus on the collaboration between Western biomedicine and Chinese medicine.
Having a background in Exercise and Sports Science at Oregon State University, Meghan has a passion for concentrating on the study of human movement in relation to developmental, mechanical, historical, pathological and physiological perspectives. She has training in Tuina, a form of Chinese manipulative massage therapy, as well as advanced needling techniques to assist with musculoskeletal pain. While living and performing nonprofit work in Nepal, Meghan has also gained a wide range of experience in working with various ailments such as stroke rehabilitation through the use of electro-acupuncture, digestive ailments, managing hypertension, and other musculoskeletal and physiological pathologies.
Meghan has spent time running her own practice in New York City, as well as joining a team that specializes in Women’s Health and Fertility. During her time in NYC she has worked in collaboration with some of the top fertility centers in Manhattan to enhance the effects and efficacy of IVF and IUI treatments. She has also most recently practiced in Portland, where she specialized in Sports Acupuncture and musculoskeletal therapies such as diagnosing with orthopedic testing and using trigger and motor point therapies along with electro-stimulation.
